site!Whether a beginner or advanced fishkeeper, we hope you find this site
informative as well as fun.
We have created this sight for the love of fish, and the respect of this
wonderful hobby. We have created a message board for you to post fish related
questions, and get a large variety of answers to assist you in this hobby.
In my opinion, fishkeeping as a whole, is 80% opinion of the individual
fishkeeper, and 20% fact based on scientific knowledge.
A lot of the views you will receive here are based on individual experience with
most breeds of fish. I myself have kept some species of fish, for the sole
purpose of being able to provide firsthand information to people on the message
boards I have been a member of.
We have also provided links to the very important “Nitrogen Cycle”. If you are a
beginner, this is a good place to start.
I would like to introduce myself, I am “kimsfish” and I am administrator of this
site. I have been keeping fish for 9 years and upkeep many of my personal
business clients’ tanks as well. Please feel free at any time to email me direct
with any questions or concerns you may have regarding this site and its members,
your opinions will always be heard and understood with an empathetic ear.
I would like to thank Merc75,Amy,and my husband Pleccy for creating,dedicating, and maintaining this
site to and for me and “us” as fishkeepers alike. We could never thank them
enough for giving us this place to go and share this hobby. They are very
special people.
We ask that all profanity be left outside of the board, as well as any “R” rated
material and or discussions. This is a “Tropical Fish Site” and this is its
primary and most important function.
We have many children that frequent this site, and would like it to be an
enjoyable experience for all. We have provided a chit-chat forum as well as a
chat room, and ask the content to remain clean and tactful as well. Please do
not discuss Religion, Politics, or Race on this site, for no one cares for those
opinions as well as the fact they are completely irrelevant to Tropical Fish and
their keepers.
